Dam Bystřička

Water reservoir at the village of the same name built between years 1907 and 1912 in connection with the planed cannal “Odra- Dunaj”. The concrete dam is 36,5 meters high and 170 meter long. During the time of contruction it was the most confident building in whole Austria- Hungary. The lake is 38 ha large. The reservoir ranks among the most popular recreatin centre in region. Bystricka also serves as a flood elimination, that’s why the water-level can vary in meters in the beginning of summer.
